INTRODUCTION:

COMSATS university came into existence in august 1998/2000. COMSATS Institute of Technology is an inter government organization which abbreviated as Commission on science and technology for the sustainable development in south. COMSATS is run by governing body having a Rector and pro Rector. COMSATS is a large University that comes under the ministry of Information and Technology government of Pakistan. COMSATS is the only University in Pakistan having 7 campuses all over the country. COMSATS popular in Pakistan having huge number of PHDs  and foreign qualified lecturer and professor compared to other universities in Pakistan. The main campus of the institute is located in Islamabad near chakshazad Islamabad. The largest campus the of the institute is Abottabad campus that is surrounded by huge mountains and greenish area.

Vision of COMSATS:

COMSATS desire to be best education provider and higher education in research field as well. COMSATS is still known as institute in Pakistan and now envisages the change of status into University and COMSATS doing work on this that is under process. COMSATS has honored by achieving first 100 ranking in developing countries and soon COMSATS will achieve the milestone to be top 500 worlds of the universities.

Ambition and Mission:

Concerts conducting high level and quality research by generating and preserve knowledge understanding and creativity . also popular for the promoting scholarships .many student doing quality research under these scholarships that not only benefit students but also The Scholars and all other communities in the country.Concerts provide a lot of educational programs for the learners and the Teachers by sharing a knowledge and creativity and understanding. This programs not only prepare the graduate to get a degree, but also prepare them to get a well career.

Campuses :

Islamabad Campus:

COMSATS institute of information and Technology Islamabad campus was came into existence in 1998. In Islamabad campus there are 7908 students are currently enrolled and doing their under graduation post graduation and PHD. there are 74 lectures theaters that are fully equipped, air conditioned , well furnished and fully well maintained. each lecture hall has the capacity of 100 to 100 students.there are 50 Laboratories in campus having more than 1100 computers. Major laboratories in Islamabad campus are  bio science laboratory, DSP laboratory, electronics and microprocessor laboratory.
